Keokuk County, Iowa

Keokuk County is located in southeast Iowa. It is named for the eponymous chief of the Sac Indians, who advocated peace with the white settlers.
The seat and largest city are both Sigourney.
Keokuk County borders Poweshiek, Iowa, Washington, Jefferson, Wapello and Mahaska Counties.
Main highways through the county include IA-1, IA-21, IA-22, IA-78, IA-92 and IA-149.
